
A fire broke out on the 11th floor of a building at 581 Kamoku Street in Honolulu on Tuesday. The Honolulu Fire Department received the call at 7:05 p.m., and first responders arrived three minutes later.
Firefighters responded to a fire with 11 units and 43 personnel. They secured a water supply, attacked the fire, and confirmed no occupants were inside the affected unit. Adjacent units were checked to prevent fire spread. The building's fire sprinkler system controlled the fire, which was brought under control at 7:27 p.m. and fully extinguished a minute later. Firefighters assisted the evacuated occupants and transferred patient care to Emergency Medical Services, as reported by the Honolulu Fire Department.
The Honolulu Fire Department is investigating the cause and origin of a recent fire and assessing the damage. A report on the findings will be released once the investigation is completed. Firefighters quickly contained the fire.
