
A hiker in her 50s was rescued from the Lulumahu Trail in Nuuanu after an injury. The 911 call was received at 12:47 p.m. on Tuesday. Thirteen personnel from five units responded, with the first unit arriving at 1:01 p.m., as reported by the Honolulu Fire Department.
The rescue team walked the trail to find the injured hiker and performed a medical assessment upon arrival. The hiker was then walked out to a location where Emergency Medical Services took over and provided care at 1:28 p.m., according to the Honolulu Fire Department.
The Honolulu Fire Department conducted a rescue operation for a hiker in Hawaii’s rugged terrain. The identity of the hiker has not been released. Authorities remind hikers to prepare properly, be aware of their limits, and exercise caution while on trails.
