A routine complaint regarding an illegally parked RV in Davenport, Florida, escalated into a broader incident that resulted in the arrest of four individuals on multiple charges, including outstanding warrants, resisting an officer, and immigration-related violations.
According to the Polk Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call on Monday to the UPS Store at 109 Ambersweet Way, where they found the RV parked in a handicap spot. The driver, 45-year-old Liliana Tinichigiu, presented a New York license but it wasn’t long before deputies learned she was wanted in Virginia on serious theft-related charges.
During the incident, 29-year-old Samariteanca Tinichigiu and 19-year-old Elisey Rostas Tinichigiu, the daughter and son of Liliana, attempted to interfere with the arrest process and were subsequently taken into custody. Additionally, 31-year-old Viorel Otu Tanase was detained after deputies identified an outstanding warrant for his arrest when he arrived at the scene to take custody of a 3-year-old child.
Further investigation at the scene determined that the Tinichigius were wanted in connection with theft and related charges. Additionally, all three individuals, along with Tanase, were found to have unresolved immigration status concerns. A family member later took custody of the children present at the scene, and the Florida Department of Children and Families was notified. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was also contacted regarding the immigration status of the four individuals taken into custody.
