
A 30-year-old hiker was rescued from the Kalalau Trail on Kaua‘i after sustaining injuries on Sunday. The Kaua‘i Fire Department responded to a call for assistance just before 11 a.m. on the trail, according to the County of Kauai.
A hiker was rescued from Hanakoa upper camp shelter on Kaua‘i following an injury. Due to the difficult terrain, a short-haul operation was performed to transport the hiker to a location where she could be airlifted to Princeville Airport. The hiker was then transferred to American Medical Response for further care. The current condition of the hiker has not been disclosed. The rescue took place on the Kalalau Trail, as reported by the County of Kauai.
