A 32-year-old hiker was rescued from Kalalau Beach last Friday, after injuring their leg on the Kalalau Trail. The Kauai Fire Department reported that Rescue 3 on Air 1, firefighters from Hanalei Fire Station, and American Medical Response personnel responded to the incident around 9:15 a.m., according to the County of Kauai.
Firefighters located an injured person on a trail and transported them by helicopter to Princeville Airport. At the airport, Engine 1, Truck 1, and AMR medics provided medical care. The Kauai Fire Department cleared the scene at 11:35 a.m., as reported by the County of Kauai.
A person was recently rescued on Kauai’s Kalalau Trail. The individual’s condition has not been released. The County of Kauai advises hikers to be prepared and cautious.
