A tragic incident occurred on the evening of last Monday, when a pedestrian died from injuries sustained after being struck by a vehicle on Park Run Drive. This marks the 62nd traffic-related fatality within the department’s jurisdiction in 2025. The collision took place in the rear private drive of 10250 West Charleston Boulevard and involved a possible commercial vehicle that fled the scene, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Around 8:38 PM, the pedestrian was crossing the private drive when a commercial vehicle unexpectedly hit him, throwing him onto the roadway and causing serious injuries. After the collision, emergency responders declared the 64-year-old male pedestrian dead at the scene. The search for the driver and vehicle is still ongoing, with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Collision Investigation Section leading the investigation.
The victim’s identity is being kept private until their family is notified. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are still collecting evidence as they try to find the person responsible for the fatal hit-and-run.
