Mansfield residents might need to find an alternate path next Tuesday as the city's arterial road, Cannon Drive, undergoes significant repairs. According to a social media post from the City of Mansfield, Texas Municipal Government, the repair work will start on May 27 and last approximately three weeks.
The westbound lane of Cannon Drive, which runs between Matlock Road and Arbors Drive, will be out of commission for the duration of the work, forcing drivers to heed detour signs for alternative routing. Despite the inconvenience, the eastbound lane will stay open, keeping traffic flowing in one direction. "Crews will close the westbound lane to traffic. Please follow posted detour signs for alternate routes," the city's announcement emphasized.
This project is part of a wider initiative to improve the infrastructure within Mansfield, an effort that continues to unfold across the city. Commuters are advised to factor in potential delays into their travel plans and observe all traffic directions for the safety of on-site workers and fellow motorists.
