In a turn of events that ended a spate of robberies in Memphis, authorities have apprehended suspects connected to two armed incidents at a local Mapco gas station. The Memphis Police Department released information pertaining to the arrests following crimes committed on April 7 and last Tuesday, May 13, where in the former a duo and in the latter, a group, comprised of adults and minors, executed robberies at gunpoint.

On April 7, the suspects, despite the storefront's security measures, forcibly made entry and coerced cash from the register after threatening employees, and last Tuesday, May 13, they used similar means to abscond with cash and tobacco, while this time an employee was confronted and a firearm was brandished to discourage any intervention. The female juvenile involved in the May incident was reportedly directed by her mother, Christina Williamson, who has been implicated in both instances. Williamson, together with Brandon Black, identified as the male suspect from the April robbery, were arrested yesterday after a traffic stop on a gray Ford Fusion associated with the crimes, as detailed by the Memphis Police Department.

Christina Williamson, 37, is now facing charges of Aggravated Robbery and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, according to the authorities. Her accomplice, 19-year-old Brandon Black, has also been charged with Aggravated Robbery, and it was revealed he had a prior warrant for a similar charge. Memphis Police took both individuals into custody without incident. The Safe Street Task Force’s investigation into the April and May robberies led to the suspects' arrest.
