
Earlier this morning, the Memphis Police Department apprehended two men identified as prolific repeat offenders following a robbery at the Sunoco Gas Station at 4185 Jackson Avenue. According to a social media post by the department, the incident occurred at approximately 12:46 a.m. when a male victim was robbed of his handgun inside the station. The suspects then fled the scene in a silver four-door sedan.
A short time later, at around 1:26 a.m., officers located the suspect vehicle. When they attempted to make a traffic stop, the driver chose to not immediately pull over, leading police on a chase that ended only when the car was disabled after popping two tires. Two of the three suspects were apprehended after they fled from the car on foot.
One of the individuals taken into custody, Roberto Analco, 22, faces multiple charges, including Facilitation of a Felony to wit: Aggravated Robbery, and other traffic-related offenses. The other suspect, Jean Mejia-Interiano, 24, was charged with Facilitation of a Felony to wit: Aggravated Robbery and Evading Arrest on Foot. Information shared by the Memphis Police Department details the charges against the suspects and includes a description of the third suspect, who is still at large. This suspect is described as a Black male, aged 18-24, approximately six feet tall, and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and dark sweatpants.
