Philadelphia police have successfully located Bruce Drelich, a 60-year-old man who had previously been reported missing from the 35th District. The search for Drelich, who was last seen on May 2, ended when authorities found him safe and well. Drelich had vanished after leaving his home on the 500 block of Oak Lane sometime between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., leading to an appeal for public assistance.
The community had been asked to keep an eye out for Drelich, described as a white male, standing 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 190 pounds. His last known outfit was a navy blue button-up short-sleeve shirt adorned with white flowers and a pair of brown boots. In a statement obtained by Philadelphia Police Department's news blotter, his description was circulated widely in hopes someone would provide information leading to his whereabouts.
Authorities have not released details on how or where Drelich was found. However, they have extended their thanks to those who shared Drelich’s information and aided in the search.
