Oklahoma is set to gain a major economic boost as CBC Global Ammunition, a leading global ammunition manufacturer, plans to build a new $300 million facility at MidAmerica Industrial Park. The project is expected to create 350 jobs in northeast Oklahoma. The announcement was made during the SelectUSA Investment Summit, hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Governor Kevin Stitt, who led Oklahoma's delegation, highlighted the state’s economic environment and logistical advantages as key reasons for CBC’s decision.
According to the Office of Governor J. Kevin Stitt website, the new facility will produce ammunition ranging from 9mm to 12.7mm cartridges, expanding Oklahoma’s role in the Aerospace and Defense industry. According to Oklahoma Department of Commerce CEO John Budd, the project reflects a collaborative effort aimed at advancing economic development in the state.
CBC Global Ammunition President Fabio Mazzaro stated that the new plant will support the company’s growth in the U.S. market and serve as a vertically integrated manufacturing base. The facility will be built on more than 550 acres of land formerly used for munitions production during World War II.
MidAmerica Industrial Park CEO David Stewart noted the site's historical connection to defense manufacturing and emphasized the significance of this new development.
The project is supported in part by the Governor’s Quick Action Closing Fund, a performance-based incentive that has contributed to job creation and economic growth in Oklahoma over the past three years.
