Charlotte's Steele Creek community faced tragedy when gun violence interrupted the peace of Archdale Drive yesterday afternoon. According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, multiple gunshot victims were discovered after officers responded to a call for service. The grim aftermath included one individual dead on the scene and two others in need of immediate medical attention.
The incident, which unfolded just after 3:45 p.m., prompted an intense response from local authorities. The CMPD Homicide Unit took charge of the investigation, meticulously gathering evidence, while crime scene investigators processed the location in search for clues. Assistance also came from CMPD’s Victim Services, the Charlotte Fire Department (CFD), and MEDIC, highlighting the collaborative effort to address the shooting's immediate and reverberating effects.
