The Maricopa County Attorney's Office has publicly announced an indictment involving allegations of a Peoria woman's shocking misuse of social media and her endangering of a minor. Jami Trautman, with a birth date listed as September 1980, stands accused of having committed severe crimes against a child, according to a recent release on the Maricopa County Attorney’s website.
The charges against Trautman come with substantial gravity. She allegedly recorded herself in the act of bathing alongside a child and took it upon herself to send or share these compromising recordings via social media with someone who is, at present, incarcerated in California. County Attorney Rachel Mitchell's office details the indictment to include one count of Sexual Abuse—which is identified as a Dangerous Crime Against Children and is also characterized as a Class Three Felony—and two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, which is indicative of a Class Two Felony.
Trautman is currently being held on a rather substantial bond—a sum total of $250,000, cash-only—as she awaits trial. The proceedings are scheduled to unfold in August 2025, at which time the full scope of facts and arguments will be thoroughly examined in court. Despite the serious allegations, it's important to remember that an indictment is only an accusation, not a conviction. Trautman is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
