The Plymouth Police Department has appealed to the public for assistance on their social media, requesting help in identifying two suspects implicated in a burglary and vandalism case. The incident, which unfolded at Eastex Fabric on the night of May 3, involved significant damage to the property and theft of memorabilia.
According to the Facebook post by the department, Officer M. Whyte actively seeks two Hispanic male suspects estimated to be between 5'6" and 5'7" tall. Dressed in hoodies and wearing black masks, they reportedly wreaked havoc inside the office of Eastex Fabric, indiscriminately drizzling syrup and cola on electronics, which left caused a considerable amount of damage. Not content with the destruction, the suspects are also said to have left behind several racial slurs scrawled around the premises.
The vandalism turned to larceny as the intruders absconded with five precious baseballs, each autographed by a Boston Red Sox player, adding an element of theft to their spree of damage. The Plymouth Police highlighted, "Each baseball was signed by a member of the Boston Red Sox." The victim remembered the signatures of David Ortiz, Dustin Pedroia, Tim Wakefield, and Curt Schilling. The collective value of these sports artifacts surpasses $1000.
The police urge anyone with information on the suspects or the merchandise to step forward. Bearing witness to such transgressions against one's community, coming across someone who might be selling these signed baseballs, could assist in rendering justice. Officer M. Whyte's contact details were shared for tips: a direct line at 508-830-4218 ext. 15428 or via email at [email protected].
