According to Douglas County, the Douglas County Recording Office at 301 Wilcox Street, Castle Rock, is reopening its doors on Wednesday, May 21, following a period of renovation that started back in January.
The temporary relocation, which served as a short-term fix, gave way to an office not only restored but reimagined to better serve the public. Upgrades include expanded customer service windows and a public research area designed to enhance the user experience. An important note for those marking their calendars: the office will not provide passport or marriage license services on Monday, May 19, and Tuesday, May 20, right before the grand reopening. For those needing to record documents on those dates, alternate locations have been made available at 125 Stephanie Place on Monday and the renovated Wilcox Street location on Tuesday.
