The Roseville Fire Department will partner with Sutter Roseville Medical Center to conduct a multi-agency disaster drill. The exercise will simulate the aftermath of a Blackhawk helicopter crash on the hospital's helipad, as reported by the Roseville Fire Department.
The exercise will focus on “establishing unified command with multiple agencies, fire suppression, rescue and extrication of victims from the wreckage, and patient triage and transport.” Emergency vehicles and personnel will be active in the area as part of the drill. There is no actual emergency, as stated by the Roseville Fire Department.
According to the Roseville Fire Department on their Facebook page, the drill was conducted for "allowing our crews and other emergency responders to practice skills and walk through scenarios." The exercise took place at Sutter Roseville and involved several emergency response teams. It was part of a coordinated effort to simulate disaster scenarios and enhance response procedures.
