Two individuals are recovering in a hospital following a fire that broke out in the Aspen Pointe Apartment Complex last Saturday evening in Roswell. The fire, which first responders encountered with substantial smoke and flames, occurred just shortly after 7:30 p.m., as FOX 5 Atlanta reported. The Roswell Fire Department's quick response led to the dramatic rescue of the pair from a third-story apartment.
The two victims had to be quickly transported to a local hospital after being saved; however, details on their condition remain under wraps. Firefighters managed to swiftly arrive at the scene within approximately five minutes, according to the Roswell Fire Department. The specifics regarding the cause of the blaze are still being determined by investigators. As reported by Atlanta News First, the fire had extended to multiple units before being subdued by fire crews.
In response to this incident, the Roswell Fire Department emphasized the critical role that smoke alarms play in home safety. "Smoke alarms save lives. Make sure you have working smoke alarms inside every bedroom, outside sleeping areas, and on every level of your home," the fire department urged. "Test them monthly and never disable them. If your smoke alarm is over 10 years old, it should be replaced," they mentioned in a statement obtained by FOX 5 Atlanta.
