
The streets of St. Charles Parish are set for a makeover this summer, with scheduled asphalt resurfacing works that aim to smooth the daily commute for local residents. The St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office relayed the details of the roadwork program via a recent social media post, revealing a list of streets earmarked for much-needed maintenance.
According to the information shared by the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office, the resurfacing is part of the ongoing Road Maintenance Program. It is inclusive of, patching, milling, and paving activities. Barriere Construction, the firm contracted for the job, will begin its work on Paul Fredrick Street between Canal Street and Hackberry Street in Luling, scheduled for patching from today, to Friday, May 30. Pertinently, emergency vehicles will have passage during these operations.
The work schedule continues into early June, targeting Gassen Street between Hackberry Street and the railroad tracks in Luling for similar treatment from June 2, through to June 5. The announcement confirms that emergency access will again be facilitated amid the resurfacing process.
The current phase of maintenance concludes on June 6, with North Oak Court in Luling receiving attention for patching.
