Chaos erupted on a St. Petersburg street this past Friday, leading to tragic loss and unanswered questions. According to a social media post by the St. Petersburg Police Department, officers responded to a stabbing incident at Ahi Tuna located at 364 1 Avenue North, just before 6 p.m. The victim, identified as 41-year-old Dustin Hedenberg, succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to Bayfront Hospital.

The night took a dark turn when, Hedenberg was reported to have acted erratically at the Scientology Center at 336 1st Avenue North, where he punched an individual. Hedenberg's behavior escalated as he proceeded to Ahi Sushi, engaging in a severe altercation with the business owner, Fayun Zhang. The confrontation became physical when Hedenberg struck and began punching Zhang, who, in the ensuing struggle, grabbed a screwdriver and stabbed Hedenberg.

The Police Department revealed, "Zhang has not been charged at this time." Detectives are conducting a thorough investigation, which will involve consultation with the State Attorney’s Office to determine if the stabbing constitutes a chargeable offense.
