The Sterling Heights Public Library is launching a Mobile Library on Tuesday, which will be introduced at the Sterling Heights City Council meeting. The Mobile Library will then travel through the city this summer, according to the City of Sterling Heights.

The Mobile Library will be at Dodge Park on Wednesdays, along local trails, and at city events, including the Summer Reading Program Kickoff Party on June 16. The program will run until July 30, offering family-friendly activities like a scavenger hunt. On select Thursdays, the library will also be at the Dodge Park Farmers Market, providing resources to market-goers, as reported by the City of Sterling Heights.

The Mobile Library project, funded by the Friends of the Sterling Heights Public Library and the Sterling Heights Area Community Foundation, aims to promote library programs and services. It will offer free paperback books, bookmarks, buttons, and flyers. Tammy Turgeon, Library Director, said, "The Mobile Library allows us to reach residents in new and engaging ways," and "It’s an extension of our mission to provide lifelong learning and enrichment opportunities for everyone in Sterling Heights." The Mobile Library will visit local schools and community locations, with updates available on the library's website and Facebook page, as stated by the City of Sterling Heights.
