On Thursday, Suisun City Police Department officers responded to a call of suspicious behavior in the 400 block of Amber Drive, as reported on the department's social media. A resident, peering into the darkened street, had spotted what they believed to be an attempted burglary of a pickup truck, prompting a swift response from law enforcement at approximately 2:20 AM.
The SCPD officers arrived to find two men, both 20 years of age from Napa, adjacent to the vehicle in question, with open containers of alcohol resting on the truck's bed, according to the Suisun City Police Department. The police reported that one of the men had a firearm visibly sticking out from his waistband, while the other suspect stood nearby, which was a public display of potential danger.
Additional SCPD officers descended on the scene to assist. The investigation uncovered that one of the men was carrying not just the visible handgun but two additional concealed handguns, one tucked into each pocket. At the same time, his counterpart was found harboring a concealed dirk or dagger and an ID card, which, upon further scrutiny, proved to be a fraudulent representation of California state documentation.
Both men, whose names have not been disclosed, exhibited clear signs of alcohol intoxication when contacted by the responding officers. This encounter led to the two suspects' arrest and booking into the Solano County Detention Center.
