A Tampa resident, Elizabeth Danielle Rowe, also known as Simon Roe, has been charged with making a death threat on social media. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida, the indictment, unsealed today, alleges that in January, Rowe sent a message threatening to kill an individual referred to as A.A., stating, "I am coming to kill you. I will kill your pets first while you watch. Die expletive."

The indictment is a formal accusation, not a determination of guilt. If convicted, the 24-year-old faces up to five years in federal prison. The case is being investigated by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Risha Asokan.

Authorities emphasized that threats made on social media are taken seriously and are subject to federal prosecution. Rowe is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
