Last night, Petaluma was subject to an armed carjacking that left a 16-year-old without his vehicle and with minor injuries. At approximately 8:30 PM, the Petaluma Police Department responded to a distressing 911 call from the young victim. He had been robbed at gunpoint and had his car taken in the vicinity of Clubhouse Drive, beside the shuttered grounds of the old Adobe Creek Golf Course, according to a report released by the Petaluma Police Department.
Looking to sell clothing, the teenager, accompanied by friends, was approached by a vehicle from which at least three suspects emerged. With a demand for his possessions, one suspect brandished a firearm. Following the demand with action, one suspect assaulted the victim before absconding with his vehicle, heading in the direction of Frates Road. Unsuccessful in their immediate search, the police underscored that an early reporting delay impacted their ability to locate the stolen vehicle.
Members of the Petaluma Fire Department attended to the victim on the scene, offering medical assistance for the injuries suffered during the altercation. As this investigation continues vigorously, the police are urging anyone with information to come forward. "If you witnessed or have any information in regards to this incident, please contact the Petaluma Police Department at 707-778-4372," as per the Petaluma Police Department.
