
Two men are in custody following a recent event of violence that unfolded in the vicinity of a Detroit nightclub, as per court documents and statements from the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
On Monday morning, a gunshot incident near Woodward Avenue and Adams Street led to the emergency deployment of Detroit police officers, who discovered a 27-year-old man with a gunshot injury in front of a nightclub. The suspects, Alveon Roosevelt Kindle, 21, and Paule Monyee Kindle, 23, had allegedly fled but were captured shortly after by Southfield police, ClickOnDetroit reported.
The younger Kindle is facing charges including armed robbery and assault with intent to murder, as well as three counts of felony firearm possession, while his older counterpart has been charged with armed robbery. As someone previously convicted of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, accompanied by two additional counts of felony firearm, CBS News Detroit reported.
According to officials, the confrontation began when the victim's necklace was taken, subsequent attempts by the victim to reclaim his property resulted in Alveon Kindle reportedly discharging his weapon multiple times, inflicting wounds upon the victim, the suspects were eventually detained and are now remanded to jail, their court proceedings are slated for mid-May with a probable cause hearing and a preliminary examination, FOX 2 Detroit reported.
