Utah County is upping its game in the tourism department with the introduction of interactive tourism kiosks, just in time to wrap up National Tourism Week. These kiosks, the latest bid to bolster tourism, have been installed in strategic locations, including the Provo Airport, giving visitors immediate touchscreen access to the best of what Utah Valley has to offer. According to Utah County, visitors can now easily navigate local attractions, dining, accommodations, and transportation options.

The initiative, backed by a $25,000 grant courtesy of the Economic Development Agency (EDA) through the American Rescue Plan Act, is poised to drive the tourism recovery in the region, Utah County Commissioners are looking to capitalize on the increasing traffic flowing through the Provo Airport with Commissioner Skyler Beltran noting the "perfect timing" of the kiosks as more people fly through, the airport has become a prime spot for aiding visitors right when they arrive. Commissioner Brandon Gordon also pointed out the utility of these kiosks by saying, "We've all travelled places and ask: 'What are we going to do today?'" "This will help them and provide information for them to spend some time and money in our lovely county, then this will help with that," as per Utah County.

In addition to the airport, kiosks can be found at the Outlets at Traverse Mountain and the Utah Valley Visitors Center, indicating a strategic placement to engage tourists at various points of their journey. Explore Utah Valley's Executive Director, Lee Adamson, emphasized the aim to make the visitors' experience "seamless and convenient." These sentiments were echoed by Provo Mayor Michille Kaufusi, who praised Explore Utah Valley for their "innovative approach to destination marketing."
