As summer approaches, the Holding Park Aquatic Center (HPAC) in Wake Forest gears up to welcome residents and visitors alike, opening its doors on Saturday, May 24, at 10 a.m. Those looking to beat the heat can take solace in the facility's cool waters, with daily admission fees set at affordable rates that vary by age and residency status. According to an announcement on the Wake Forest website, Wake Forest residents can enjoy reduced prices, with toddlers under the age of two dipping in for $1, and other age groups ranging from $4 to $5, while non-resident fees stretch from $2 to $7.
Structured for convenience and safety, open swim times at HPAC will be segregated into three-hour blocks, each followed by a 30-minute interlude, accommodating up to 200 patrons per session. In a community-friendly move, the town encourages pool-goers to secure their spot in advance via online registration, opening 14 days prior to each session – an option to minimize waits and maximize enjoyment. Albeit, walk-ins and on-site registration will remain on the table, provided there is space available.
For the regular swimmers, there's a deal that floats as smoothly as a backstroke - the Punch Pass. Starting next Monday, swimmers can purchase this pass for 20 daily swim sessions. The pass is priced at $60 for Wake Forest locals, and $100 for those who hail from beyond its borders. Those interested can splurge on this offer exclusively online, making the purchase at the given registration link, and later picking up the pass at Joyner Park Community Center.
To facilitate a seamless entry, a "Punch Pass" option is listed as a payment method during the registration process for daily swim sessions – patrons must show this pass to HPAC staff before they can plunge into the aquatic center's offerings. This bit of insight was detailed on the official Wake Forest website, where residents and visitors can find all the necessary information to kickstart their summer with a splash.
