Residents of White Settlement found themselves victims of car burglaries in the early hours recently, with reports flooding in around 2 am of alleged teenage suspects rummaging through unlocked vehicles. The individuals wearing hoodies, dark clothes, and masks targeted the Mirike, Hannon, Allencrest, S. Las Vegas Trail, White Settlement Road, and Ralph Street apartment areas.
The White Settlement Police Department, to swiftly address the situation, posted a call to action on their social media, requesting the community's assistance. "We started receiving calls around 2 am about multiple “teens” opening unlocked car doors in neighborhoods wearing hooded sweatshirts, dark clothing, and masks around Mirike, Hannon, Allencrest, S. Las Vegas Trail, White Settlement Road and Ralph Street apartments," the department shared in a Facebook post.
The diligent efforts of the night shift team on Sgt. Cook's watch led to the arrest of five individuals, a testament to the proactive work of Corporal Russell, Officer Perez, Officer Alvarado, and Officer Leal, as well as the WEST COMM 911 dispatch team. They encouraged anyone with video evidence potentially revealing faces or specific clothing to contact Corporal Gonzalez at [email protected].
