Early Monday morning, a startling act of vandalism struck the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station when an individual, later identified as Gary Dean Staggs, deliberately drove a vehicle through the front doors, causing significant damage to the premises. According to a report from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the incident occurred at approximately 2:11 a.m., and deputies responded around 5:10 a.m. to the scene at 333 Limited Avenue.
Following the incident, the authorities launched an investigation leading to the discovery of the suspect vehicle and the subsequent arrest of Staggs. The 44-year-old Wildomar resident stands charged with felony vandalism.
