
Wilmington authorities have apprehended 23-year-old Martell Warner on multiple charges, including gun and drug offenses, after a month-long investigation led by the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division, as reported in a news release.
Police detail that the investigation began in May and culminated on May 14 with the execution of search warrants at locations in the 900 block of East 17th Street and the 800 block of North Spruce Street, where they took Warner into custody without incident and seized a loaded 9mm handgun, a quantity of crack cocaine weighing 3.63 grams, 94.67 grams of marijuana, and paraphernalia for drug use or distribution.
The litany of charges filed against Warner includes Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Receiving a Stolen Firearm, and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver, alongside Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Following the arraignment in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas, Warner has been released on $33,000 unsecured bail.
