The Wilmington Police Department is reaching out to the community for help in the search for a local man reported missing since late March. According to a brief released through Nixle, 31-year-old Alpha Sow was last seen in the area of North King Street at around 5:00 p.m. on March 27.
Officials are urging anyone with any knowledge of Sow's whereabouts to come forward, noting he was described as a black male, around 5'7" in height, and weighing 210 lbs. At the time of his disappearance, Sow was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers. Issued the day after Sow's last known sighting, a Gold Alert remains active, which is typically used in Delaware to denote a missing person who may be in need of medical or other intervention.
The Wilmington Police Department have made no indication of foul play at this point, still, the lack of contact and information has raised concerns for Sow's well-being. They are appealing to the public to assist by providing any details that might lead to locating Sow. "Police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Alpha Sow to please contact the Wilmington Police Department 302-654-5151," as stated in the Wilmington Police Department notice.
