
The Austin Police Department has engaged the public in their search for a man accused of theft and vandalism at Twin Liquors on East 41st Street on the afternoon of June 16. In a release shared with the community, the department reported that the unidentified male suspect allegedly stole several bottles of liquor and then, in a subsequent visit, he shattered additional merchandise in an altercation with the store's managers. The incident, which took a turn for the worse around 4:29 p.m., has prompted police to reach out for assistance in identifying the individual responsible for the disturbance.
Described as a Black male in his mid-20s sporting a distinct beard along the jaw and chin, absent a mustache, the suspect was last seen wearing beige shorts and a black t-shirt, a description according to police records. Witnesses report that at the time of confrontation with the liquor store managers, he pushed and caused the breakage of multiple bottles.
Committing wholeheartedly to their investigation, the Austin Police Department has turned its attention to the community for help. They have asked anyone who might have information about the suspect's identity to come forward. Confidentiality is guaranteed for those who wish to remain anonymous.
