Early Thursday morning, a burglary attempt in Lynwood turned deadly when one of the suspects was fatally shot by an accomplice, as reported by KTLA. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) deputies arrived at the 11000 block of Linden Street at around 1:45 a.m. after receiving a burglary call, where they discovered a male adult with a gunshot wound. According to LASD, the man was part of a group that invaded the home, consisting of approximately five males, all dressed in black.
The suspects had entered the residence but fled when they realized the presence of residents. In the chaos, "While fleeing, a suspect shot an unknown firearm at the residence," and one member of the group was struck, authorities said. The victim was declared dead at the scene. The remaining individuals were last seen running northbound on Linden Street, as reported by the KTLA release.
