A disturbing occurrence at a local Charlotte skate park has led to the arrest of 33-year-old Gabriel Hamrick, after police say he exposed himself to a 12-year-old. The incident, which took place on Tuesday near State Street, has seen Hamrick charged with felony indecent exposure to a minor.
As WBTV reports, Hamrick was taken into custody at APB Skatepark off Tuckaseegee Road, just outside Uptown Charlotte. After performing the act for his own desire, according to arrest records obtained by WCNC, he was later granted a $50,000 unsecured bond following an initial court hearing on Tuesday.
The charges, as detailed by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, signify a serious breach of public trust and safety in spaces designed for community recreation. Following his arrest on the day of the incident, court documents highlighted that the bond was posted yesterday.
