Arrested was 55-year-old Carlos Garcia-Thompson from Corona, California, who now faces multiple charges, including criminal threats, assault with a deadly weapon, and domestic violence. According to a report by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, the suspect has allegedly escalated an argument into a physical altercation and threatened to kill the victim while armed.
During the law enforcement response at approximately 12:27 p.m., authorities were able to locate and subsequently arrest Garcia-Thompson without incident just blocks away from the scene. The suspect appears to have attempted to flee after the altercation in his vehicle. Deputies conducted a search that led to the seizure of several firearms, inclusive of an assault rifle.
