
A fire in a Dorchester apartment building on Bicknell Street has displaced twelve people, including four children. According to the Boston Fire Department's X post, the fire broke out shortly before 3:00 in a large five-unit structure and was located in the walls on the first and second floors. It escalated to a second alarm, requiring additional firefighting resources.

The Boston Fire Department confirmed that no injuries were reported. However, the building was left uninhabitable due to internal damage. The eight adults and four children affected are receiving assistance from the Red Cross of Massachusetts.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation as officials examine the scene and speak with residents. Red Cross is helping to ensure those displaced have shelter and basic resources.
