In the wake of recent disasters in Dyer County, the Sheriff's Office has announced a collaboration with FEMA to open a Disaster Recovery Center at Bogota School, aimed at providing aid and support to those affected in the Dyersburg and Dyer County areas. According to a social media post by the Sheriff's Office, the center will start operating on Monday, June 30, 2025, at noon.

The center not only offers a place for residents to submit new applications for FEMA assistance, but it also allows them to check the status of current applications, the Sheriff’s Office shared in a statement that also mentioned Small Business Administration (SBA) representatives will be in attendance to support and field questions.

Sheriff Jeff Box expressed gratitude towards FEMA, stating, “We appreciate FEMA’s efforts in partnering with Dyer County to facilitate this center, ensuring our community has access to crucial resources during this recovery period.” The Dyer County Sheriff's Office encourages anyone needing help or information to visit the center as it becomes operational.
