Early Sunday morning, a fire consumed 10 Amazon delivery trucks in a Los Angeles parking lot, according to official reports. The incident, which occurred at approximately 1:35 a.m. at a commercial Amazon facility located at 4841 W. San Fernando Rd., saw the Los Angeles Fire Department and assistance from Glendale fire crews racing to the scene. Local news outlet KTLA reported the blaze involving the gas-powered trucks that presented an intense scene for firefighters upon arrival.
The aftermath of the inferno left eight trucks destroyed and two damaged. Interestingly, the LAFD did not immediately disclose how long it took to fully extinguish the flames or speculate on the cause of the fire. In a statement obtained by KTLA, officials confirmed that "firefighters extinguished all vehicles with no damage to any structures and no injuries reported." The effort to combat the fire netted a swift resolution, with all of the trucks reportedly empty, negating the worry of lost packages.
The Los Angeles Fire Department's alert highlighted the presence of Glendale's Engine 21, which also joined the firefighting efforts on the scene. The coordination between multiple fire agencies ensured that the incident remained contained to the commercial facility's parking lot only, avoiding any spread to nearby structures in the surrounding area.
