The FBI's Charlotte field office and Catawba County Sheriff's Office are reaching out to the community, in an attempt to gather further evidence related to the mass shooting that took place on Walnut Acres Drive. In a call for public assistance, local authorities are urging residents and business owners in the vicinity to provide camera footage that may offer critical insights into the events leading to the tragedy.

In a recent social media dispatch, the FBI highlighted the specific roads of interest — Highway 127, Huffman Farm Road, and Pittstown Road — requesting any video recordings captured between Saturday and Sunday. As residents in the area might not all have been contacted directly by investigators, officials issued a map pinpointing the areas of focus, in the expectation that some, may yet hold untapped sources of information.

According to the Facebook post by the FBI Charlotte, there is also a particular interest in social media activity. Authorities are aware of videos circulating online that appear to be related to the party where the shooting occurred. They are encouraging anyone with relevant footage to upload it to a dedicated FBI portal.

Anyone with pertinent information, or footage, is urged to contact the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office at 828-464-3112.
