Gwinnett County will celebrate the installation of two public art sculptures at the new Bicentennial Plaza and Trailhead tomrorow. The stainless steel works, titled "Make A Wish" and "Vibrantly Connected," were created by Georgia artist David Landis. According to the Gwinnett County release, the sculptures are intended to reflect the community and enhance the area for residents and visitors.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. at Bicentennial Plaza, located at 275 S. Perry St. in Lawrenceville. Speakers will include Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson, Commissioner Jasper Watkins III, Lawrenceville Mayor David Still, and artist David Landis. Deb Tuff, the county’s media relations strategist, will serve as emcee.

The art installation is part of the county’s effort to improve public spaces and promote local culture. Attendees can park nearby at Lawrenceville Lawn, located at 210 Luckie St.
