Earlier today, officers from Constable Mark Herman's Office made a significant arrest during a traffic stop in Houston. The operation, occurring in the 10000 block of Bammel N Houston, resulted in the detention of two individuals, Jeremiah Mireles and Nicolas Morgan, who are now facing charges related to the possession of narcotics. According to an announcement from the Constable's Facebook page, Mireles was carrying approximately 9.98 ounces of marijuana and was also out on bond for a previous murder charge.

Morgan, the passenger, was reportedly in possession of around 9.72 grams of Xanax during the traffic stop, the deputies who conducted the search found this along with the marijuana on Mireles. Both men were transported to the Harris County Jail, where they have been booked and are awaiting further judicial proceedings, as per the information shared by the Constable's office. Mireles who was out on a hefty $50,000 bond for a separate murder charge now awaits bond for the new possession charge, while Morgan was given a comparatively lower bond of $100 for his charge.

Constable Mark Herman's statement emphasized the direct link between the seizure and illicit activities, stating: "They were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Jeremiah Mireles was charged with Possession of Marijuana and is awaiting bond out of the 230th District Court. Nicolas Morgan was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and received a $100.00 bond out of County Court 5. In addition to the charges, $1,285.00 was seized due to its suspected connection to narcotics activity," as reported by Constable's office.
