The freshly renovated Johnsville Library is once again opening its doors to the public, boasting an array of new features and improvements. After a period of closure to make way for some much-needed updates, the library shines with fresh paint, plush new carpet, updated lighting, and modern furnishings that welcome visitors back to a revamped community space.
Patrons of all ages can now enjoy enhanced facilities, including a new study room offering a tranquil environment ideal for concentration and work. A revamped area featuring book bins has been designed with young children in mind, allowing easier access for them to find books they love. Alongside, a refreshed play space complete with a Lego table awaits families looking for an engaging time during their visit, as per Anoka County's official announcement.
The library's improved layout is not only aesthetically pleasing but also optimizes the flow and experience for its patrons. To kick off the reopening in style, a community celebration is scheduled for Saturday, July 19th. The day will be filled with entertainment, including a Jolly Pops concert from 11am to 12pm, a refreshing treat of snow cones, a creative Storywalk, as well as The Rex and Mr. Fox Show slated from 2pm to 3pm.
More than just a celebration, the Johnsville Library is also set to host a series of summer events. These include the "Crafting Worlds and Words: Teen Writing Workshop" with featured author Chad Corrie, an exploration of "The Outlander Series & Traditional Scottish Music" with Laura MacKenzie, and a special "Twin Cities PBS (TPT): Science and Literacy Event with Skillsville Kids". For full details on upcoming events, patrons are encouraged to visit the library's online event calendar.
