A motorcyclist's daredevil stunts on SR 167 in Kent ended abruptly when they struck a Washington State Patrol vehicle during a botched attempt to evade a traffic stop. According to KIRO 7, the individual was initially stopped for speeding and performing high-risk maneuvers on the road.
As reported by KATU, when the trooper attempted to pull over the motorcyclist at a red light, the scene escalated. The rider, in their efforts to flee, collided with the open door of the patrol car, consequently attempted to escape on foot but was ultimately apprehended and arrested.
Further consequences for the motorcyclist now include a series of potential charges. KOMO News reports that the individual was booked into the King County jail under investigation of malicious mischief, which stems from the damage to the patrol car. Additional charges could involve reckless driving, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, and hit-and-run.
