The City of Lewisville is all set to unveil its brand-new Tittle McFadden Public Safety Center with open doors to the public on Wednesday, June 25. This significant addition hosts the Lewisville Police Department administration, the Lewisville Fire Department administration, Fire Station #1, and the Office of Emergency Management, according to a recent announcement on the City of Lewisville's website.
Located at 1187 W. Main Street, the 116,000-square-foot center boasts a hardened emergency operations center and a secure three-story parking garage, ensuring the facility is equipped for not just today, but for the city’s future needs. In November 2021, Lewisville voters signaled their forward-thinking mentality by passing a $95 million bond package, paving the way for this project to replace the aging infrastructure that once stood on the same grounds.
For those eager to delve into the operations of the center, the free guided walking tour (fully ADA accessible) will provide a peek behind the scenes. The tour will showcase some of the cutting-edge technology now at the fingertips of Lewisville's front-line emergency services. The facility tours are scheduled in three time slots: 7-9 a.m., noon- 2 p.m., and 5-7 p.m. on June 25, with no reservations required.
