A Long Beach school aide, who worked closely with disabled children, was arrested on charges of possessing and distributing child pornography, as reported by KTLA. The Long Beach Unified School District contractor, identified as 22-year-old Jaylee Brackman, is at the center of an alarming investigation after her alleged criminal activities were uncovered during a probe into a separate child pornography case.
Brackman was taken into custody on Tuesday and is currently being held without bail, facing serious charges ahead of her arraignment. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Area Vice Unit is actively seeking to discover if there are more victims, an indication of how the breach of trust in such a position can have far-reaching and devastating effects. According to a statement by the LAPD shared in a LAPD news release, "Harbor Vice is releasing the suspect’s booking photo because the suspect is employed in a position of trust working with children who are disabled."
