
A man has been taken into custody in relation to a shooting in Columbus, Ohio, that left one person injured earlier this week. Michael Cooke was arrested following the altercation, which escalated into gun violence, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
The incident unfolded early on Sunday, when police were summoned to the scene on the 1700 block of N. High St. Reports indicated a shooting had occurred at around 12:51 a.m. On arrival, officers found an individual suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, whom authorities have not named, was quickly ushered to an area hospital and is reportedly in stable condition. Cooke, pinned as the shooter, was arrested at the scene.
Police sources suggest that the shooting was the culmination of a physical skirmish involving several parties, including the victim and Cooke.
