A stabbing incident in Seattle's North Beacon Hill neighborhood yesterday evening has left a 59-year-old man wounded and law enforcement searching for his assailant. According to the SPD Blotter, patrol officers found the victim with a stab wound to his buttocks aboard a King County Metro Coach near Beacon Avenue South and 15th Avenue South, following a distress call around 8:20 p.m.
The Seattle Fire Department provided first aid treatment to the victim, who was subsequently transported in stable condition to Harborview Medical Center by an American Medical Response ambulance. Investigators at the scene learned that the victim and the suspect, believed to be acquaintances, were drinking behind a gas station on 14th Avenue South and South Bayview Street before a verbal altercation escalated into physical violence, culminating in the stabbing.
In an attempt to capture the suspect, officers established a security perimeter for a K9 scent track. Nevertheless, the dense population in the area hindered the K9 team's ability to conduct an effective search. Despite these efforts, the suspect remains at large. An ongoing investigation into the incident continues as police seek leads and request that anyone with information come forward.
