In a post from the City of Mankato, Minnesota Government's Facebook page, local authorities detailed the events that unfolded on the 700 block of South Victory Drive just before the midnight hour.
According to the social media update, Mankato Police responded to the scene at approximately 11:26 p.m., where they discovered an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the chaos, first responders managed to quickly transport the victim to the Mayo Clinic Health System. There, he is currently being treated, though the severity and the aftermath of his injuries are yet to be disclosed. While scouring the area, officers also noticed the facade of a nearby building riddled with bullet marks, signifying the violence that had pierced through the neighborhood's expectations of safety.
