A senior prank at Hanover High School in Massachusetts resulted in a large cleanup effort after about 90 students allegedly participated in activities that left the school in disarray. According to the Hanover Police Department, officers discovered the aftermath of the prank during a routine patrol. The scene included toilet paper, confetti, plastic wrap, paper towels, and smashed fruit, including pineapples, throughout the school.
In a joint statement provided to Boston 25 News, Hanover High School Principal Matthew Mattos and Superintendent Matthew Ferron described the incident as “inappropriate behavior.” While there was no permanent damage, the school required professional cleaning services and staff overtime to restore the facility.
As reported by CBS News Boston, the Class of 2025 has issued a formal apology and agreed to cover the cleanup costs. The Hanover Police Department is continuing its investigation to identify all students involved. School officials noted that any disciplinary actions will be handled internally and remain confidential.
