A juvenile from Milford has been charged with multiple offenses, including larceny and credit card fraud, following a series of break-ins at a local business. According to the Police Department of Milford's Facebook, the incidents began earlier this month, when officers responded to a report at the Benjamin Moore Manufacturing facility at 49 Sumner St., where several vehicles were broken into and items were stolen. Security footage showed a person in a black jacket using a bicycle in the area.
On June 3, the Milford Police Detective Bureau took over the investigation and found that credit cards stolen from the vehicles had been used. A key development occurred on June 19 when an electronic search warrant led to the identification of a 17-year-old male from Milford as the suspect.
A search warrant was executed at the suspect’s home on Friday last week, where police found evidence related to the case. The teen has been charged with three counts of larceny under $1200, credit card fraud under $1200, three counts of breaking and entering a vehicle at night for felony, and identity fraud.
