A Milford resident was arrested following a Friday night incident involving an unusual choice of weapon—a fork. According to a social media post from the Police Department of Milford, Massachusetts, the altercation occurred at approximately 10:17 PM, when a Spanish-speaking male called 911, reporting he had been stabbed in the head at a Main St. residence. Responding officers found a 26-year-old male bleeding from a head wound, apparently inflicted with what the victim believed was a fork.
Police identified the suspect as Wilson Jhavier Guasco Morocho, who had fled the scene by the time authorities arrived, but was later apprehended on Congress Street near the Milford Town Park. In the chaos, emergency personnel attended to the victim's injuries while others searched for Morocho, leading to his arrest following an on-scene investigation.
According to the Police Department of Milford, Massachusetts, Morocho faces charges for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a broad term that can encompass improvised tools like a fork. However, the statement from the police reminds the public that "all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law." This principle underscores the due process rights afforded to all individuals under the U.S. legal system, regardless of the circumstances surrounding their arrest.
